Level 1 chargers are electric vehicle (EV) chargers that use a 120-volt (120V) AC outlet, also known as "trickle" charging. They are the slowest charge level and can take 40-50 hours to charge a BEV to 80% from empty. Level 1 chargers provide about 3.5-6.5 miles of driving range per hour of charging time. Level 1 chargers can be a great option for PHEV.
